In short phishing means an email or communication on internet which is not from authentic source & which asks for your personal information like credit card number, your password,your transaction number & other personal details which normally no bank or company would ask in email. Sometimes you will also receive phone calls to give your credit card details and likewise asking personal details which is another form of phishing. So be vigilant next time you receive such emails or phone calls.
